NPC's
NPC's are henchmen, minions; servants, all at your disposal. On your Kingdom Control page, there will be an area called the NPC Pool. This number represents the overall number of levels that are available to you at this time. (for non D&D players, levels determines the power of an individual. The higher the level, the stronger the character.) They may be used at any time you
choose to summon an NPC, and the pool is replenished from your towns and cities over time. No NPC may start out higher than 8th level, though in time they may grow stronger, if they survive.
An NPC may be sent to perform any number of tasks, or serve in any particular capacity. Class choices are limited to : knight (paladin); fighter; mage; priest; assassin. Each has their own special abilities and work well in certain roles for you to discover through play. When summoning an NPC, inform me of name and class and level and where you wish to assign them , and doing
what. NPC's can be posted to a town and left on 'standby' if you choose.
Special Note: Knights cost an extra 2 levels to summon. Mages and Assassins cost an extra 4 levels.
Each NPC will have their own listing on the NPC page at the website where their capabilities can be seen. As they progress, they will raise in levels and power, and these capabilities will be adjusted as well. When they reach a certain level, they may be promoted as nobles (see Nobles, below) and will no longer be considered NPC's.
Some ideas for useful NPC tasks: assigned to a particular army unit as a captain; spying, termination attempts, questing , some governmental position; assigned to a particular town or area as local petty ruler... whatever else you as a player can think up.
